About

Care Rooted in Personal Experience

In February of 2022, my father was hospitalized with interstitial pulmonary edema. For nearly two months, I spent as much time as I could by his side in the ICU, through a lung transplant, and the difficult decline that followed. He passed away on April 4th, 2022.

No matter how much time I spent at the hospital, I couldn’t be there every moment, and that reality weighed on me heavily. Every time I left, the same question followed: How is he being treated when I’m not there? When he couldn’t speak for himself or call for help, I had to trust that he was being cared for with dignity and compassion. Not knowing for certain was one of the hardest parts of that experience.

That’s why I opened Honor Haven.

I understand how difficult it is to accept that you can no longer provide the care your loved one needs at home. It’s an emotional, confusing, and painful decision.

Honor Haven is a place where families feel genuine peace about that decision. They have confidence that their loved one is not just being cared for, but is thriving in a small family-like environment.

My father was the best man I’ve ever known. I can’t bring him back, but I can honor his life by making sure other families don’t have to carry the same uncertainty I did. Honor Haven is my way of turning that experience into something meaningful, a place where people are cared for the way I would want for my own father.

Benjamin Bennett, Owner

In 2022, Ben lost his father to a long battle with lung disease, an experience which reshaped Ben’s sense of purpose entirely. Inspired by his father’s legacy and determined to ease the burden other families face when finding care for aging parents, Ben founded Honor Haven Memory Care.

Before this calling, Ben served as a U.S. Navy SEAL for 10 years while simultaneously building a successful real estate investing business. Today, he channels that same discipline, leadership, and commitment to excellence into creating a memory care home that truly honors the people it serves.

Ben lives locally with his wife Elle and their two daughters. When he’s not at Honor Haven, you’ll find the family hiking trails, taking road trips across the country, caring for their horses, or actively involved in their church community.
